We all Bloom & Wither

I don't know if it works like this for all GM seasons, but the current Season of Contrast has had me thinking about "contrast" on both a conscious and unconscious level. I picked up a gardening book this past weekend at a garage sale and immediately started clipping out some images, including this blooming allium. While I wasn't intentionally thinking about how I could use any of the clipped images for this season, the image got me thinking about the cycle of life and it immediately occurred to me, what contrast could be any bigger and obvious than the cycle of life?
