Welcome to my blog! I am a wife, mother and Nana to two sweet granddaughters. It is a joy for me to capture time spent with my family, or time spent travelling with my husband in the scrapbook pages I create. In late 2016 I embarked on a new creative expression: art journalling! This blog is the place where I share all my creative endeavours.

Dandelion
What could be more synonymous with spring than dandelions?!! Did you know that up until the 1800s people would pull grass out of their lawns to make room for dandelions and other useful “weeds” like chickweed, malva, and chamomile? I think it's fair to say not many people feel this way, today! This spread was inspired by today's #artadventures "ground" prompt ... While on my walk around the neighbourhood today, I took numerous photos of the ground, including photos of dandelions but sadly, the dandelion photos were not that inspiring to share, so instead I shared this photo on instagram, but clearly, the dandelions were the inspiration for this spread.

Love the spread- so beautiful! I remember as a child my grand-aunt would take me to collect young dandelions leaves for salads. I always connect them with happy memories.
